Description

Manoeuvre even heavy weights with ease

Available for single-axle and for tandem-axle models

With the multiple award-winning AL-KO MAMMUT CTRAIL caravan manoeuvring system, you can move and control your caravan simply and precisely. The MAMMUT CTRAIL mover enables you to easily move your caravan, even when you are on your own and on unfamiliar ground. Ideal for moving even in the most confined space and on gradients up to 28 per cent. With smooth acceleration, its jerk-free action is unparrelled. The control electronics are perfectly integrated into the aluminium casing and are protected against damage and moisture (IP65). With optimised housing, heat dissipation is also improved and longer manoeuvres are possible even at high temperatures and loads, thanks to the extended power-on time.

Your advantage:

  • Outstanding integration in the chassis
  • Most accurate manoeuvring system on the market with maximum ground clearance
  • Manoeuvring without jerking
  • Precise positioning: when hitching and unhitching and when manoeuvring in confined spaces

Power

  • The most powerful: Obstacles up to 4 cm are no hindrance and climbing power up to 28% for single-axle and up to 15% for two-axle models
  • Even more power with proven reliability
  • Always maximum contact pressure thanks to electric switching of the drive on the wheel

Safety

  • Lightweight
  • Immediate stop on slopes: Simply release the joystick and the trailer is immediately braked in place.
  • Plug & play installation to AL-KO chassis from 2010 model year with embossed with "M" for MAMMUT CTRAIL
  • Drive fully sealed and splash-proof (IP 65)
  • Five-year warranty according to AL-KO Warranty Conditions

FAQ

In principle it can be installed on almost any caravan chassis. An overview of the required clearances can be found under product details.

Most AL-KO chassis frames from 2010 model year already have the necessary fitment holes in the chassis.

No. In this case the general operating authorisation is void. However, if the 'M' is not present the 'under chassis' variant may be suitable.

No. This is not necessary because of the ABE provided.

Service centres are available throughout Europe.

Yes. Depending on the version, the system can be reset manually with a spanner (13 mm) or a standard screwdriver.
CAUTION: Please remove the fuses beforehand and do not use an electric screwdriver, e.g. cordless screwdriver.

The Mammut has a Europe-wide five-year parts warranty under AL-KO Warranty Conditions.

We recommend gel or AGM batteries with tuned charging technology and a capacity of at least 80 Ah.
An AGM battery with at least 100 Ah is ideal to have reserves for other applications, e.g. lighting or water supply.
In the case of AGM batteries with spiral cell technology (e.g. Optima) we recommend a capacity of at least 66 Ah.

In principle you can install the Mammut yourself paying attention the the installation manual. Nevertheless, we recommend having it installed by an appropriate specialist. We would be pleased to help you find a relevant specialised company in your area.

In order to better protect the Mammut from stones and spray water from the caravan tyres. In principle however the Mammut can also be installed behind the axle.

We recommend you remove the battery from the vehicle and proceed as follows:

  • Store batteries fully charged
  • Store in a cool, dry place
  • Recharge every 2 months (24 hour charge)
